Airi.chat MCP serverBeta

Your WhatsApp workspace, in your AI tools.

Connect Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another MCP client to airi.chat with a workspace API key, and ask about results and customer chats from where you already work.

What the server can read

Every tool is read-only and sees only the workspace that owns the key.

  • get_analytics_summary

    Analytics summary

    Conversations by status, channel and category for the last 7, 30 or 90 days, compared with the period before.

  • list_conversations

    Customer conversations

    Recent conversations with status, channel, timestamps, a masked phone number and a link to open each one in airi.chat. Message text and media are never returned.

  • list_whatsapp_templates

    WhatsApp templates

    Your stored templates and their status. Turned on per key on request.

  • list_scenarios

    Scenarios

    Your automations, their triggers and step counts. Turned on per key on request.

Read-only by design

The server answers questions. It can't act on your account.

  • No sending

    There are no tools that send messages, start campaigns or edit templates.

  • One workspace per key

    Each call checks the key's permissions and your plan's limits.

  • Customer text is labelled

    Names and summaries that customers wrote come back marked as untrusted content, so agents treat them as data, not instructions.

Connect in two minutes

Create a key with read access in Settings → API & webhooks (owners and admins), then add the server to your tool.

  1. Claude Code

    Run this in your terminal:

    claude mcp add --transport http airi https://www.airi.chat/api/mcp \
      --header "Authorization: Bearer $AIRI_API_KEY"
  2. OpenAI Codex

    Add this to ~/.codex/config.toml and set AIRI_API_KEY in your environment:

    [mcp_servers.airi]
    url = "https://www.airi.chat/api/mcp"
    bearer_token_env_var = "AIRI_API_KEY"
  3. Cursor

    Add this to .cursor/mcp.json and set AIRI_API_KEY in your environment:

    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "airi": {
          "url": "https://www.airi.chat/api/mcp",
          "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ${env:AIRI_API_KEY}" }
        }
      }
    }

ChatGPT and the shared ChatGPT and Codex plugin directory need an OAuth sign-in, which airi.chat doesn't offer yet. Browser-based MCP clients aren't supported.

Questions and answers

What to know before connecting.

Can the MCP server send WhatsApp messages?

No, it's read-only. To reply from your own code, the REST API can send a text reply within the 24-hour window with a write-enabled key.

Which MCP clients work?

Any client that supports Streamable HTTP with a bearer token header, such as Claude Code, Codex and Cursor.

Are there rate limits?

Yes. MCP calls share the key's per-minute budget with the REST API.

Does it call Meta?

No. It reads data already stored in airi.chat, so it never uses your Meta API limits.
